exploding

"Now listen, I don't know the dimensions of outer space, but if our ability to feel love turns out to be just a cosmic accident, I'd like to think this means that the universe is on our side."

stop-motion!

I love stop-motion videos and when I saw a commercial for the Kindle on Amazon I thought "hey, I wanna post this on my blog." SOOooooo...
There are two of them. This is the second one. I think it's cooler.

spring spring spring!

This weekend was so full of wonderful things. Let's see...
Friday - stopped by the Voraritskuls to see Sarah because she was staying there to watch the chillens all week. Then I went down the street to Devin and Scoobs house because they're in Vegas and Gabe is house sitting so the junior girls and some leaders all had a sleepover with Franklin the pup.

Saturday - woke up and grabbed some quick Einstein's with Gabe and Febes, then went home for a little. THENNN it was off to Tess & Kelly's tea party for their March birthdays. We sat around eating delicious stuff, brought some to Colin down the street, then we all went to the Lake and layed in the grass in the glorious weather for the first day of Spring. Went home... chilled with my mom and sister a little bit, then went back to the Voritskuls to geek out with Sarah and watch Harry Potter (marathon weekend.......).

Sunday - woke up, went to church, Brian's sermon was really great, and 1822 band did awesome. Then I went to stoneypoint and hung out with Josh and Lindsay for lunch. Then Colin and David met up with us. Went back to church and got on the swing set with Colin... went home... did some homework...then back to the Voritskuls for more Harry Potter hahaha.
I haven't had a fun eventful weekend like that in a long time. Little moments like these are what I enjoy :)

Oh, my talking bird though you know so few words, they're on infinite repeat, like your brain can't keep up with your beak and you're kept in an open cage and you're free to leave or stay but sometimes you get confused, like there's a hint that I'm trying to give you and the longer you think, the less you know what to do.
It's hard to see your way out when you live in a house because you don't realize that the windows were open the whole time but oh, my talking bird, though your feathers are tattered and furled I'll love you all your days till the breath leaves your delicate frame and it's all here for you as long as you choose to stay it's all here for you as long as you don't fly away.

Relief.

It's okay. I'm young and I have time to figure things out. I am finally seeing that I don't have to know everything right now. Whew.

recycling

I decided to get rid of some old magazines cause they were taking up space. I picked out 26 and I'm gonna throw them in the recycling bin. It was weird finding magazines like Urban Outfitters from way back when the store had just opened at Short Pump. They're really cool though and I think I'm gonna do something with the pictures.

Go Green!
...just kidding.

Lately,

I'd be crazy not to follow. Follow where you lead. Your eyes...they turn me.
Turn me on to phantom. I follow to the edge of the earth and fall off.

Loving Radiohead more than ever. Specifically, Amnesiac.
On a different note,
I've become fascinated by canopy beds and really want one now. They're so elegant and (not to get weird, but) romantic. Don't get any ideas, it's still Elsbeth party of 1 ;)
Some amazing ones I'd kill to have:

Og Mandino

I started looking at this website stumbleupon.com and you check off subjects that interest you and then you get to "stumble" upon a bunch of different sites that have to do with your interests. When you're done looking at one site, you click a button and it brings you to the next. Rather addictive. Anyways, it showed me a site with all these Og Mandino quotes that I found really inspiring. I don't actually know who Og is... so if he's some terrible person, forgive me. oops. Here are some of my favorites:
-Grasp each minute of this day with both hands and fondle it with love for its value is beyond price.
-Grant me compassion for weaknesses in others
-Action will destroy your procrastination.
-All nature is a circle of moods and you are a part of nature and so, like the tides, your moods will rise; your moods will fall.
-All your problems, discouragements, and heartaches are, in truth, great opportunities in disguise.
-Always take another step. If that is to no avail take another, and yet another. One step at a time is not too difficult.
-Bathe me in good habits that the bad ones may drown.
-Chuckle and your burdens will be lightened.
-Do not listen to those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious.
-Do not make vain attempts to imitate others.
-I will look on all things with love, and I will be born again.
-Laugh at yourself for man is most comical when he takes himself too seriously
-Never will I allow my heart to become small and bitter, rather I will share it and it will grow and warm the earth.
-This day is all you have and these hours are now your eternity. Greet this sunrise with cries of joy as a prisoner who is reprieved from death.
-Today I shed my old skin which hath too long suffered the bruises of failure and the wounds of mediocrity.
-You are nature's greatest miracle.

There's soo many more. But I really liked these. I gotta find out who this dude is...
